What happens when your niche become the mainstream?

Seth Godin has an interesting post about Apple – iMac have grown in such popularity that they have become the computer for the masses. But is it really a problem for Apple? Or a good problem to have in view of its growing market share? After all they have mastered the world of the mp3 player, mp3 software, and quick into the world of the cellular phone. How should they adapt their marketing plan for the next Mac? What about a Mac that users can design and express themselves? Let their imagination run wild, and they will love that.
